World Tuberculosis Day 2019- It’s Time for Action

In alignment with global efforts to ensure access to quality TB testing and treatment, the Iranian Hospital provides:

- TB PCR testing to speed up the decision making process involved in the diagnosis of tuberculosis, so that early antituberculosis treatment can be initiated.
- QuantiFERON TB testing as preventive screening- one of only two commercially available IGRAs (Interferon-gamma release assays) recommended by the WHO. Single patient visit, unaffected by prior BCG vaccination, 95% test sensitivity and highest specificity of any test for TB infection.
