Specialized Organ Donation Training for ICU & Emergency Personnel at Iranian Hospital Dubai

In an effort to enhance the knowledge and skills of healthcare professionals, a training session titled "Policies, Procedures, and Legal Regulations of Organ Donation and Transplantation" was conducted for ICU and Emergency Personnel at Iranian Hospital Dubai. This session was led by Mr. Hesham Jamil, the Hospital Organ Donation Coordinator at the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP), United Arab Emirates.
The training covered various topics, including ethical and legal frameworks, donor identification and assessment, legal obligations, and inter-hospital coordination. A significant focus was placed on effective and compassionate communication with the families of brain-dead patients. Participants learned methods to create emotional comfort, express empathy, and provide honest and transparent information in a sensitive manner.
The training strongly emphasized the importance of respecting cultural and religious values while offering psychological support to grieving families. The goal of the workshop was to empower healthcare staff to implement the organ donation process in an ethical, professional, and human-centered manner, while also fostering international healthcare collaboration.
This initiative marks a significant step toward standardizing communication and medical protocols in organ transplantation and improving the quality of services at Iranian Hospital Dubai.
